Multimedia Software Engineer (Python/C++/Gstreamer) for ML Applications - Video Streaming (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

As a fast growing Vision/AI company for the food industry with entities in Germany, India and our headquartes in the US, we are developing highly innovative software products helping our customers to contribute to sustainability. Reducing CO2 emission by reducing food-waste as well as a more effective personnel planning help our customers to use their ressources more effectively.
At our entity in Munich we want to expand our software developer teams. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer, who is skilled in video streaming and image processing.
We offer a hybrid working model with low hierarchies, and "hands-on" mentality with an open-minded feedback culture defines our best practise.

Join us and:

Optimize video streaming applications for low latency, quality or bandwidth depending on the application and surrounding environment
Enabling low power devices to encode incoming images to video streams utilizing hardware encoding
Building complex systems allowing users without direct access to recording devices to access video streams using our cloud platform
Use your image processing background to support the Machine Learning team in implementing Computer Vision applications

Your profile

Expert knowledge of video and image processing
Experience working with Gstreamer and corresponding plugin development
Advanced knowledge of the Linux OS and networking
Expert knowledge using Python and its testing frameworks
Experience with OpenCV
Nice-to-Have Image processing on GPU's (Intel & NVIDIA) and C++

What We Offer

Our systems optimize restaurant operations by solving a supply and demand problem. We estimate sales numbers, monitor inventory, and advise the crew on when to cook what in order not to stock out while keeping food as fresh as possible and minimizing waste. Our platform consists of multiple edge devices running different machine learning and computer vision algorithms and a restaurant server that serves UIs to the crew. In addition to everything happening within a restaurant, process data is uploaded to our servers for statistical analysis and optimization of our algorithms and models.
